SkyCare’s Captain Development Program is a structured pathway from day one to a Captain role on turbine aircraft, with pilots typically reaching this milestone within a few years based on performance and operational needs.

SkyCare’s Captain Development Program is one of the most structured and supported pathways in Canadian aviation. You’ll begin your journey in a ground-based operational role as an Operations Coordinator or Aircraft Groomer, building the operational knowledge, situational awareness, and professionalism that define great turbine Captains.

This initial phase is designed to provide hands-on experience in real-world operations and typically lasts several months, depending on performance and operational needs. From there, you will progress to the Navajo First Officer seat and ultimately the left seat on the Metro.

Progression is based on performance, training completion, and operational readiness, with pilots advancing as they demonstrate strong decision-making, professionalism, and situational awareness.

-    As an Operations Coordinator, you will:

o  Support our SOCC Coordinator and Flight Follower team

o  Handle customer quoting, cargo receiving, and customs documentation

o  Manage flight following, coordination, and real-time customer requests

o  Operate our flight information systems and ensure timely, organized flights

-    As an Aircraft Groomer, you will:

o  Groom, detail, and fuel company aircraft

o  Load and unload cargo and baggage

o  Operate aircraft ground equipment and tow aircraft as needed

o  Maintain hangars, offices, vehicles, and facilities

o  Assist with commissary and customer service

-           TC Commercial Pilot License

-           TC Group 1 Multi-Engine IFR

-           Valid Class 1 Medical

-           Minimum 250 hours TT

-           Legally eligible to work in Canada

-           Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector (within the last 30 days)

-           Must be able to lift at least 50lbs

-           Hands-on operational experience with accelerated career progression
