Salary: $23 – $27 per hour based on 40 hours per week. Start rate will be commensurate with education and experience.   Salary progression based on merit.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:
This position audits work from the Quality Assurance Operations and Aircraft Maintenance Departments. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day quality assurance (QA) processes that flag non-compliance concerns for timely response with corrective action plans drafted for actioning by other team members. The incumbent also participates in the Safety Awareness program and education.
Responsibilities include:
  • Quality auditing of operational and maintenance records to ensure compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations and SkyCare policies.
  • Operate information retrieval systems to research and extract records according to established guidelines in response to requests.
  • Tracks training and educational programming for staff
 
Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Aviation Management preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in aviation quality assurance preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Required to obtain and maintain satisfactory CPIC (Criminal Record Check)
  • Willing to relocate to Sioux Lookout and travel from time to time to other base locations in St. Andrews, Manitoba; Kitchener and Thunder Bay, Ontario
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to correctly apply knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations
  • Self-directed ability to stay current with technical and regulatory changes and bring such changes forward with recommendation for internal policy/process changes to management.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills with sound judgement to know when to consult/escalate to manager.
  • Unwavering focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Able to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solution-focused approach, using excellent diplomacy to understand divergent perspectives.
  • Excellent adult learning principles-based training and facilitation skills.
  • Good computer skills; proficiency in MS Office, with emphasis on Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism and strong teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and organizational skills to meet established deadlines in a dynamic work environment with shifting priorities, multiple demands, and some urgency.
