Salary: $24 – $29 per hour based on approximately 40 hours per week. Start rate will be commensurate with education and experience.   Salary progression based on merit. Hours may vary based on operational needs and requirements, but will generally be 8AM – 5PM.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:
This position works from our fast-paced and dynamic SOCC (System Operational Control Centre) desk, alongside the Flight Follower and Operations Coordinators. This position is responsible for handling all front-line customer service and client requests, and will be at the forefront of the efforts to continue and bolster SkyCare’s reputation as a friendly, professional, customer service-focused aviation company. The position also provides daily feedback, planning, direction and communication on all aspects of SkyCare’s aircraft operations.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Answering phone calls and email queries from passengers and clients
  • Greeting walk-ins, passengers and patients with a friendly smile and acknowledgement always
  • Providing timely quote requests and scheduling confirmed bookings
  • Ensuring that updated information is provided to Flight Crews and Chief Pilots
  • Assisting in planning, scheduling and coordination of all SkyCare flights on a daily basis
  • Filing US Customs, submitting medevac availability, and assisting with ad hoc SkyCare events
  • Becoming proficient in the SOCC software packages utilized, including MS Word & Excel, Google Sheets, and Aviation-specific software
  • Working within a positive team environment to make SkyCare the best aviation company in Canada!
 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or General Education degree (GED) equivalent
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in operations and/or flight coordination considered an asset
  • Previous experience with Airline Management Software considered an asset
  • Required to obtain and maintain satisfactory CPIC (Criminal Record Check)
  • Willing to relocate to Sioux Lookout, ON
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to correctly apply knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations
  • Self-directed ability to stay current with technical and regulatory changes and bring such changes forward with recommendation for internal policy/process changes to management.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills with sound judgement to know when to consult/escalate to manager.

  • Demonstrated flexibility and organizational skills to meet established deadlines in a dynamic work environment with shifting priorities, multiple demands, and some urgency.
