Base Engineer (AME)

Location: Sioux Lookout, Ontario
 
Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts

Job Summary & Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for oversight of the daily maintenance operations at our Sioux Lookout Base. This includes but is not limited to scheduling, planning, and execution of maintenance on aircraft and is responsible for the supervisor of all Crew Chiefs, AMEs, and apprentices at the Sioux Lookout Base. The successful candidate will ensure that all maintenance activities are accomplished in accordance with policies, procedures and instructions contained in the MCM, MPM, and Transport Canada Requirements.
 
Qualifications:
  • Valid Transport Canada issued AME M1 required, M2 license an asset
  • 4+ years AME experience preferred
  • Crew chief/ Base engineer experience will be given preference
  • Previous experience with Aircraft Maintenance Systems (AMS) an asset
  • Previous experience with Metro/Merlin and Westwind 1124A aircraft an asset
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and excellent trouble shooting skills
  • A strong commitment to Safety & Compliance
  • Motivated and self-directed with a desire to contribute to SkyCare’s success
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Compensation

$47.40 - $53.35 per hour
