Salary: Range: $21.50 - $26.50 based on a 40-hour workweek. Rate will be commensurate with education and experience. Salary progression based on merit.
Location: Sioux Lookout, Ontario
Job Summary & Responsibilities:
This position audits work from the Quality Assurance Operations and Aircraft Maintenance Departments and updates the maintenance tracking software. The Aviation Technical Records Clerk helps to facilitate effective and efficient processes to reach the goal of excellence in data quality and management. The incumbent ensures that the documentation requirements meet the standards set by SkyCare, and Regulatory Authorities (TCCA).
Responsibilities include:
· Timely and accurate data updating of records and tracking software thus ensuring continuing airworthiness of aircraft and leading to effective maintenance planning, aircraft safety and organization’s effective functioning.
· Support the quality assurance team as a specialist in technical records.
· Review journey logbook pages for all aircraft and ensure all logbook parameters are correct.
· Update aircraft records (including but not limited to aircraft technical records and training records)
· Update component tracking as per maintenance entries
· Audit aircraft records for accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
· Follow up with maintenance crew on all corrections and/or missing documentation.
· Update and maintain AMS, Inventory Manager and other computer-based maintenance tracking system records for all company-controlled aircraft and components as required.
· Ensure the aircraft maintenance forecast always remains up to date.
· Operate information retrieval systems to research and extract records according to established guidelines in response to requests.
· Maintain archiving system by ensuring all documents are accurate and complete.
Qualifications:
· Diploma in Aviation Management preferred.
· Minimum two (2) years’ experience in aviation technical records preferred.
· An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
· Required to obtain and maintain satisfactory CPIC (Criminal Record Check).
· Legally eligible to work in Canada
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations and ability to stay current.
· Good computer skills; proficiency in MS Office, with emphasis on Excel, Outlook, and Word.
· Keen eye for detail and ability to work consistently with accuracy.
· Able to learn and adapt quickly.
· Good problem solving and critical thinking skills with good judgement to know when to consult/escalate to manager.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to demonstrate professionalism and strong teamwork skills.
· Demonstrated flexibility and organizational skills to meet established deadlines in a dynamic work environment with shifting priorities, multiple demands, and some urgency.
